Power of the Word

“In the beginning God created…” (Genesis 1:1)

…by his spoken word. Everything out of nothing, by his spoken word.

“In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)

The world-creating, word-speaking, creating God, creates again, out of nothing. Incarnate Word, into the nothingness of virgin Mary’s womb.

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
