God had other plans, though!
I’ve never heard of choosing a word for the year until just recently. Since I don’t do resolutions or goals either, it just wasn’t something I considered. A few days before the New Year, I heard a whisper in my ear….just one word “Faith”. I tried to sluff it off, ignore it or otherwise tell myself it was my imagination. However, I couldn’t shake it. The word just kept playing over in my heart. It was at that point that I decided it was the Lord who gave me a word despite the fact I hadn’t asked. Now I have peace with it. I’m excited to see how the Lord will implement faith in my life, and how I’ll grow & stretch in it. 🙂

Comment on The Glitches in the Christmas Story by Teresa Pollard https://sondrakraak.com/the-glitches-in-the-christmas-story/#comment-261 Sun, 20 Dec 2015 00:15:17 +0000 https://sondrakraak.com/?p=1685#comment-261 This was my favorite Christmas movie ever! I could so relate. One year I did one that had GT (instead of ET) and he was supposed to appear in a puff of smoke. The smoke bomb filled the sanctuary with smoke and it stank! Another year my youngest starred in The Little Bell that wouldn’t stop ringing, and when people clapped for her at the end, she pulled the bell completely up over her head to hide.

What a great perspective. I am so thankful that God gives us the Bible to teach us. No matter how many times I read a story in the Bible I am thankful that the Holy Spirit points out new truths to me. This was a beautiful reflection on the messy life we live and how God came in to world to endure with us and give us victory through Jesus.

I just finished your new book…It was excellant! I am so glad I saw it on Jeanne’s FB page. I can always tell a good book when the characters become like “friends” and as much as I want to see how it ends, I feel like I miss my “friends” when I get to the last page.
I loved the historial aspect and the way you wove scripture throughout.
Looking forward to your next book.
May God Bless you as you continue to use the gift of writing He gave to you.

Comment on Questioning Through Mark: 8:1-21 by Gwendolyn https://sondrakraak.com/questioning-through-mark-81-21/#comment-231 Fri, 04 Sep 2015 02:36:37 +0000 https://sondrakraak.wordpress.com/?p=1553#comment-231 Good word, Sondra. I have felt like leftover bread, and what you’ve said is true, we do get caught up in specific roles, especially in regard to ministry. Makes me think. How many times has God worked through us when we were unaware? In the little things we deemed unimportant?

Comment on The Gentle Shove of the Shepherd: Psalm 23 by Nick Krantz https://sondrakraak.com/the-gentle-shove-of-the-shepherd-psalm-23/#comment-230 Fri, 28 Aug 2015 16:23:51 +0000 https://sondrakraak.wordpress.com/?p=1548#comment-230 Hi Sondra,

Interesting that you should focus on that phrase, “…makes me lie down.” I have been reading in the psalms recently and had done the familiar 23rd psalm about a week ago. It was the first time I reflected on the thought of how the Lord “makes us” do something. That could cover a lot of things but it reminded me that He knows what is best for us, the sheep. And sometimes, when we are missing the clues, He will make us do something to accomplish His purposes and what is best for us.

Love,

Dad
