Mark and I will celebrate Our 10th next summer. I can relate to several of the things you love about your husband. I love Mark’s and my ‘routine’. We have comfortable tasks that we do for each other that make us such a team. I serve him tea in bed every morning. He files the dog’s nails, and does all of grilling. Often if I arrive home after he does, there will be candles lit and a fire in the fireplace.

We love to sit and watch the stars, and kayak along the lake’s edge to admire God’s creation. It is so great to have a companion/love to share the golden years with. I thought I would be alone, but God gave Mark to me just as I was entering a season of illness. He cared for me with such gentleness and compassion. The illness drew us closer. It feels like we’ve been together forever. I can’t remember life without him.
